I am working on a new painting using this photo as a reference. I took this photo in Watercolor, FL while on vacation there. The painting is about half way done and is very fun and vibrant (acrylic of course). Can't wait to post the final version...will hopefully be done in a few weeks. I am just having some fun with it. I am also working on some portraits for my friend of her son and daughter. As usual, will post all when done!

Hey Sam - there is a book that I would recommend called Lifelike Drawing by Lee Hammond. She has series' on portraits, pets and one Big Book of Drawing too. Anything of hers is good and that is the method I use to capture likeness. Thanks for following my blog and keep drawing. :)
